Rebecca Markov is a Seattle area performer, educator, and composer who is passionate about creating fun and engaging literature.

She has worked as a music educator in many capacities, including a decade of directing an award-winning middle school band program, a private instructor, festival adjudicator, percussion consultant, youth symphony coach, and more. Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Music where she studied percussion and education, and she performed in the Wind Ensemble and the drum line.

She maintains a busy performance schedule as a freelance artist, additionally performing with the Seattle Wind Symphony, Puget Brass, and Formation Wind Band.

As a percussionist, Rebecca aims to provide her unique perspective and experience into her compositions and strives to write music that is equally as fun to listen to, as it is to play!

Rebecca and her husband Alex love all things Pacific Northwest, have two fantastic children, and one very sweet cat.
